Have you tried this on windows? Does the behavior differ from what you see on wine?
This sounds like an application problem, not a wine problem.
Just checked and this behaviour is the same on windows.

This doesn't create a problem by itself but I'm making a record of it in case future bugs may behave differently on the installed vs non-installed application.
Please don't use wine's bug tracker for that.
