I tried to downgrade to 190.53 now that gentoo has a patch that makes the
nvidia module compile on 2.6.33, but I still cannot reproduce this issue. What
graphics card do you have? Maybe one of the new geforce 8+ extensions hides the
bug. I have a geforce 9600(mobile in a laptop so I don't worry about the
nonexistant GPU fan)
