Thanks to the author of the bugzilla entry, I tried to monitor /proc/$PID/fd directory. Every time the main application window is redisplayed, Wine opens 20 more fd's in /proc/$PID/ fd, which all point to files like "/tmp/.wine-1002/server-fe04-4a52/anonmap. ly9ShJ" which are actually deleted.
