[Bug 10277] Uninstalling software does not remove them from Programs menu

It would require a change in the spec, and then
Gnome, KDE, and everybody else would have to implement
the change.  That's reasonable in principle, but very slow
unless you happen to have a hotline to guys
in Gnome and KDE that can speed up consensus.  Then
it would only take six months or so.
