Does wine use PBO and FBO now by default, or do I have to somehow force the usage, Roderick? PBO - yes, FBO - no (there's OffscreenRenderingMode registry key for that). Vertical colored lines are gone, this also applies to AvP1. I still have the problem that the menu doesn't appear when pressing ESC. It's simply not rendered, but I can hear that it's there (the ambient sound changes). That's with readtex.
With auto everything is correct, menu is rendered like it should.
Should I file a different bugreport for that one? I believe this is http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12890. I think Thief probably shares some code with SS2, as afaik same developers participated in both. I've the same thing on nvidia, btw.
