Tested with the Wine-supplied version of 'wininet' on Ubuntu 9.04 'Jaunty' (64 bit) with version 1.1.26~winehq0~9.0.4ubuntu1 published on 2009-07-18. Attaching a fresh backtrace file. Is 'wine-1.1.26-183-gc6570a5' newer than 'wine 1.1.26~winehq0~9.0.4ubuntu1'?
