wPrime is free, simple (one file executable) mathematical program benchmarking
your CPU. 

It is written in VB, so 

winetricks vb6run 

is required. But even then, both versions - developement 2.07, and stable 1.55
(downloadable from url in report header) crash on start with the same error in
console:

and in the application:

Run-time error '429'
ActiveX component can't create object.
