Hmm.  When I try that, it bombs out very early during
Sql Server 2008 install, saying I need windows installer 4.5.
(And even the patch from 
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2010-June/089217.html
doesn't seem to make it happy?)

I can reproduce this by just running the installer in the 
SqlExpress2008 subdirectory.
