Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by "upstream". You mean download
wine from its site and run it manually? Well, I guess I can compile it from the
AUR PKGBUILD, or download an RPM and run it manually. So you think this is a
packaging issue?

Also, this is isn't tied to XCOM. Shadow Warrior 2 displays the same errors,
and runs normally with 3.15 (though slow due to my specs). I haven't tried more
games but I can, if you need me to.
