Can't confirm this as a regression. Are you sure, that you are using
wine-1.2-rc2?

See my attachment from wine-1.2-rc2. It's correct, isn't it? Remove regression
keyword?

BTW: Debian Lenny 32bit; 24bit xorg's color depth here.
