Please update the "Steps to reproduce:" for the trail version. Look like the directory structure is different and the testscene.lws file is not present.
CORRECTION: Apologies. Screwed up the instructions for Steps to reproduce... Please follow this procedure: Install the Lightwave trial version (link in original posting). Accept default settings/locations for everything. Download the attachment "content.rar" above and unpack it to the wine C: directory, preserving the directory structure. Navingate to the "C:\Program Files\NewTek\Lightwave 3D 9\Programs" directory and open a terminal there.
