bug 37336 could be also be infected by this bug. The bug report doesnt offer
the same version of the program as report time, but the newer version I just
tried has the same crash location when trying to save and it gets fixed with
your patch, but the saving still doesnt work with the program, could be a
different problem. The console output indicates so.
