I belive it was the Mesa update. (I actually have switched computers/graphcis cards, but prior to the mesa update was having issues with Banished (Also under wine), and afterwards Banished works fine, so I think it was the Mesa update myself. wine-1.7.18 Regardless, the current version of toribash works under software rendering with the new Mesa.
