[Bug 28861] Final Fantasy XI hangs after character selection

I can't try it with vista mode right now because I cancelled my FFXI account
until I have more spare time.  
Virtual desktop does not help in this issue.  In fact, I have to use Virtual
desktop for FFXI to work at all; otherwise direct X would fail to initialize.
