I got the download screen tonight and no crash. Try with a clean ~/.wine. Near as I can tell, the game works fine other than the alt+tab bug and the non-wine bug with not being able to select a proper graphics mode when using opengl.
Tried it, but no luck there
I had the same problem; after the 4.0.0.1 patch WoW.exe crashed when trying to download the 4.0.1 patch. I upgraded both wine and linux kernel but it didn't help much although a fresh wine install changed the crash into an error message. The workaround was to execute the Launcher.exe instead of WoW.exe to download the patch. After that WoW.exe started working as well. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
