The first problem was the SAPI speech, and after installing SAPI5 as described here: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=11157 I now get the second problem which seems similar to this one: frohro(a)frohro-d830:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Teaching Textbooks/Math 4$ wine Math4.exe fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 32 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:alsa:AudioClient_GetMixFormat Don't know what to do with 32 channels, pretending there's only 2 channels fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f740,0x00000000), stub! err:mmtime:TIME_MMTimeStop Timer still active?! frohro(a)frohro-d830:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Teaching Textbooks/Math 4$ The last error doesn't print until I click the MS Visual C++ runtime error and the program exits. I'm not attaching this output because Google doesn't search attachments well, and I use Google to try and solve these issues.
