That's expected, ~/.wine contains all the programs you have installed.
That answers your question. Run "wineserver -k" "pgrep wine" should report no tasks running. Restore the ~/.wine Run winecfg Does winecfg still fail to run? Before claiming developers are ignorant, stop being ignorant yourself: "Please do not PASTE logs and back traces (attach them instead)." This bug also needs to be attached to the relevant app in the AppDB.
