They tend to be messy in the end. People will chime in with other apps/games, requiring different API implementation sets (helps one app, doesn't help/harms the other, comments "still not fixed for <insert other app>" etc., preventing closure). Be aware this is not a simple thing a la "cheat with some semi-stubs".
