[Bug 39471] Elminage Gothic freezes after clicking on "New Game"

I forgot to mention that the movies work as they would in a Windows
installation. No renaming, no need to press the Escape button to avoid the "New
Game" crash. I do have to say that the patch offered here makes a world of
difference :)
