There's no reason to argue here. Simply add a conformance test to the patch that proves how Windows behaves. Should be about fifteen lines of code tops.
Sure, there's a reason, it's fun and you get a lot of exercise jumping to conclusions, flying off the handle, running around in circles and climbing all over each others' backs! Besides, it took me more than 15 lines of code to write the tests -- this gives me something else to argue about, w00t!!
