I have the same symptoms with the game Ignition.

And please note that "aplay -l" shows the exact card I select in winecfg to
make it work as the default:

default:CARD=Intel
    HDA Intel, 92HD71B7X Analog
    Default Audio Device
sysdefault:CARD=Intel
    HDA Intel, 92HD71B7X Analog
    Default Audio Device
