In the generated .menu file, a reference to a .desktop file can be created without properly escaping the & in the .desktop file name (replace & with &). This was tested by installing Tribes 2 from http://renwerx.com/dl.cgi?tribes2_gsi.exe - the contents of Start Menu\Dynamix\Tribes2\ will not appear (except for Classic\) under Gnome 2.20 due to the malformed .menu file. Once escaped, the shortcuts appear as normal.
