I'm using 1.8rc2-staging (32-bit and 64-bit) in PlayOnLinux just to keep things easier to test, as well as building my own from 1.8rc3 with only the shared memory staging enabled. I'm running it with the STAGING_SHARED_MEMORY=1 environment and winediag confirms that it is running. Unfortunately start-up time is still ridiculous, and I haven't bothered to make it sit there for 20 minutes yet. While I'm running this, does anyone want anything from me to further debug it? On the bright side, I think if this polling roundtrip could be worked around, the 64-bit ZBrush version looks like it'll run, fingers crossed! Also to mention I'm on (K)Ubuntu 15.10 64-bit, which implies a 4.2 Linux kernel with memfd I believe... -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
