Not sure if it has relevance to the problem, but here's the output from the
mscodescan script:

./Divinity2.exe imports following stub symbols:
  msvcp90:?_Raise_handler(a)std@@3P6AXABVexception(a)stdext@@@ZA
  msvcp90:?_Throw(a)std@@YAXABVexception(a)stdext@@@Z
