It's a common misconception that "crash" automatically means it must be DRM related. The game uses SecuROM 4.x copy protection which works fine. No offence, but I wasted a load of bucks to buy older games just to investigate alleged copy protection issues (I don't play games at all) and in many cases I found there was nothing to fix. Most of the time people had old/broken Wine versions, broken/missing dependencies, broken graphics drivers, broken kernels, broken prefixes and <insert lots of stupid user errors here>. If you can still reproduce your problem with Wine 1.7.10 you are free to reopen the bug. Be sure to attach a fresh crash report.
