Honestly, I don't know how likely a fix is. Do they also cater to wine?

And then there's the issue that it will take quite some time until the change
has spread. I personally just want it to be as close to windows as possible, in
case other programs are doing something similar. Or if someone wants to run old
chromium based programs which don't have the fix yet. But then again, it's not
my decision.
