Sorry, I didn't know it would just create the entry...
This bug is still present as of Wine 11.0-rc4, happy belated 15th birthday to
it!

The patch mentioned in #4 is still valid, the patch submitted (which should not
be accepted) is for 11.0-rc4 codebase, and can successfully install VS2008 when
applied.
