I do not bother with this, as running the game the following way: wine hellgate_sp_dx9_x86.exe -singleplayer -nominreqs (note -nominreqs) disables CPU autodetection. I also use d3dx9_34.dll which game installer throwed in $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/window/system32.
