[Bug 28444] zenilib 0.4.1.0 applications: crash when attempting to use d3dx9 for rendering

Just give me any old instructions (e.g. "fire up visual studio 2010
on foo.sln, build this target, and run the resulting .exe in wine,
then click on the clown's nose; you should see a crash").
