same patch for wine-3.0

I can confirm this patch is working for wine-3.0, have it attached because it
needed minimal adjustment. Very likely to work for wine-3.2 as well, but I only
need the stable branch with this patch on top. 

Speaking of branches, it makes me wonder why this patch is around for so long
now but never made it even into staging. Is it that much of a dirty hack?
