Well, my current conclusion is that this is a kernel bug. The kernel source
code lacks the check for files ending in '.'. It does that for joliet systems
but not for iso9660. FuseISO have that check. But, PC-BSD also has the wrong
behavior... So I'm not sure who is guilty.
