There is no need for such a complicated test, to create an uppercased version of source it's enough to do LCMapString(LCMAP_UPPERCASE, source, dest); and call MoveFile() once again. But you still don't test the result of the the MoveFile() call, that's not just a return value, that's also a file name of the target.
