Works for me in wine-1.6-rc4 (GeForce 410M).
Probably issue specific to GeForce 7 series Nvidia cards as you said.
Can you please retry with latest wine & display drivers ?
Sorry, but I no longer own the 7600GS card, so I can't test it. The OR hasn't been heard from in almost 3 years.
