It sounds as though you're reporting three separate issues: 1. You can't install Office 2003. Why not? What error do you see? 2. You can't do a custom install and select everything to be installed. If not, please file a separate bug report for this, and include whatever error you're seeing there, not here. 3. Something to do with samba. Again, this is a separate bug.
