Sadly a ESXi is required to fully use (and test) the vSphere Client this being
a tool to access and manage VMs *on ESXi*. I am running a ESXi server so I am
one of the few able to test and debug this...

It will take a lot longer, I guess, but if you can instruct me how to proceed I
can carry out your instructions and gather the appropriate info (far from ideal
I know).
