[Bug 44041] The Sims 4 instant-aborts claiming Origin doesn't run

I get the exact same error message. I just installed wine (3.0 stable version),
origin thin setup (9.13.0.19465) and downloaded & installed the game (yes, I've
got a legal copy, purchased through origin as well).

Any ideas on how to fix this?
