[Bug 22810] Civ4BeyondtheSword crashes when trying to start it

The proposed patch makes that Civ4Beyondthesword does not crash from the start.
Howaever, while doing thing in the programme, e.g. when you open credits inb
the menu and the close them with ESC, it hangs with the same error.
