I have followed the how-to regarding the DLLs and the overrides and managed to install the game completely within Wine. I had two crashes after the patch setups for Warlords and Beyond the Sword were complete, but I do not think that they are relevant for the bug issue here. When I load either Warlords or Beyond the Sword, I get the following error message Caught unhandled exception creating XML parser object. Current XML file is: I have attached a combined log for both games. Running the original Civilization 4 game works flawless, despite being slow.
