Tested sha1sum UnityDownloadAssistant-2017.2.0f3.exe 
e8820b5a6ba3ffce9856a170543ccd96feac78ab  UnityDownloadAssistant-2017.2.0f3.exe

Same version as reporter; screen stays grey  (after winetricks arial).

Workaround:

WINEPREFIX=~/.wineunity/ sine Unity.exe --disable-gpu

or

WINEDLLOVERRIDES=libglesv2=d sine Unity.exe --> LoginScreen comes up fine

So suffers from bug 32342 and bug 44985

I`ll resolve this as duplicate of bug 44985 as the title is about blackscreen
