I just tried FM 7.2 trial on wine from git, and can't reproduce this; loading and saving files works fine for me.
Can you try exactly what I tried? e.g. mv .wine .wine.backup wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks sh winetricks corefonts and then install Framemaker 7.2 trial (from http://wiki.winehq.org/AdobeFramemaker )
If that doesn't work, then try it with the latest wine (0.9.55) or wine from git if you're comfortable building from source.
