[Bug 16997] lotro: symbols above NPC's are totally black as is fog

Prince of Persia the sands of time has a similar fog regression in the same
patchset, and there is a freely available demo. I'll take a look at this game
first and see what is wrong there. Maybe the fix for POPSOT fixes lotro too.
