Hello,

This is very instructive.

I now know what choices I have to fix this specific case.

Until I upgrade to Debian 9, and staging switches to FAudio, I can either:
- Use 'no_PIC' patch;
- Use '-g -O2' flags;
- Set xaudio2_7 to native.

I also don't think that fixing the old implementation is worth the effort.
