better trace patch

Hi Ulrich, have you already had any time to have a look at my quesions?

If you don`t know the answer, could you apply the attached patch (that adds a
trace for fcs->dwmask) and run the app and post the consolelog here? ATM I
don`t have enough info to fix this.
