[Bug 31710] Regression Error - OpenGL display blanked out with grey rectangle

Further info:
The color GREY of the rectangles is being determined by the BackColor property
value of the PictureBox which is being used as the OpenGL canvas.  When I
change this property to BLACK, the rectangles are now BLACK rather than GREY.
