Even with latest git I can reproduce a crash with HeidiSQL 7.0:

Just run the heidisql.exe, and click the "New" button.

Reverting 5924ab4c5155d97f4b23a33e97258c1ec382ea02 fixes the issue, so this is
not yet fully fixed.
