I wasn't trying a URL.  I wrote a small test app to test my theory that
initializing the SSL library more than once will cause a crash.  I couldn't
verify that theory:  my test app didn't crash.  Because the crash is in the
OpenSSL library, not in Wine, I don't have a clear idea of what's happening.
