[Bug 13653] iexplore cannot work on webservers which requires Content-Length.

Please remove ~/.wine directory and run 'wine iexplire <address>' where
<address> is the url you are having problems with. Don't forget to mention it
here.
The above command will ask to install wine_gecko where you should select
"install".
