Depends on your definition of "helps".
Are the glyphs shifted to the left ? No.
Are the glyphs spaced incorrectly without FontLink ? Yes, but that's not a
gdiplus problem (probably pure gdi32).
Is the backbuffer vs fbo issue still present ? Yes, but again - unlikely a
gdiplus problem (winex11 one ?).
