I looked part of code that print "err:ddraw:d3d_device3_GetRenderState ..." error, it seems referred to alpha. I noticed that software rendered mode disable texture mode select, and probability it disable also the alpha. It could be that problem it's in render alpha and find way to disable alpha in hardware acceleration mode would solve the problem?
