Is this still an issue for you with a recent Wine (1.3.31 or newer)? If so, please specify what video card and driver you are using.
CMR 2005 renders objects correctly here, using a Nvidia 250 card and the proprietary driver 280.13. Tested with Wine-1.3.31.
